in PS 87!
We’re so glad you’re considering PS 87 for your child’s elementary education. PS 87 is a zoned public school in District 3, currently serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
As of September 2026, PS 87 will no longer have a Pre-K classroom. We will become a K-5th grade school.
Our school features a Spanish Dual Language Program, where students learn in both English and Spanish in a supportive, immersive environment.
For kindergarten: Applications are submitted through the NYC Department of Education (DOE). Placement is prioritized for zoned students and siblings of zoned students.

For kindergarten and pre-K, MySchools is the online application system and directory for NYC public schools and programs. Families create a MySchools account to explore schools, apply, join waitlists, and receive offers.
